All About Our Kid City Ministries

Created for children from infants to 6th graders, at Kid City, we believe that no one is too young to experience the love of Jesus Christ! This interactive and exciting kids’ program at Journey Church encompasses Downtown (infants through preschool), Uptown (kindergarten through 3rd grade), and Midtown (4th through 6th grade).


Kid City is designed to provide your children with safe and age-appropriate gospel activities to show them the love Jesus has for them. Call or text us to sign up your child for Kid City.

  • What age group is Kid City for?

    To provide age-appropriate and engaging experiences for children of all ages, Kid City is divided into three areas. Kid City Downtown is designed for newborns through preschool age, Kid City Uptown is for children kindergarten through third grade, and Kid City Midtown is for fourth through sixth graders. Kid City provides a top-level experience for your children!

  • Who leads Kid City?

    Our Kid City ministry is led by a wonderful volunteer team of talented ministry leaders and workers who receive ongoing training and have background checks to create the best possible experience every Sunday.

  • What time does Kid City happen?

    Kid City operates exclusively during each Sunday church service, and kids are able to sign in and enter these ministries 15 minutes prior to each service.

  • How can my child attend?

    It’s simple! Just walk in the front door of Journey Church and take a right—you’ll find sign-in kiosks with background-checked volunteers who would be happy to help you register your children for Kid City that day. You and your child(ren) will be provided with a name tag and personalized ID number, which can be used to alert you during the church sermon if your child needs you for any reason. These ID tags are also required to pick up your child from Kid City after the sermon ends, because safety is our top priority.

Youth Group Ministries for Preteens and Teenagers

Journey Church also offers youth group ministries for preteens and teens from 7th to 12th grade. Middle- and high-school students meet on Wednesday evenings at our church to share motivating and inspirational worship time with like-minded teens. Students are invited to bring their friends along for a weekly evening of music, games, prayer, and scripture on a fun and interesting level that they can relate to.
